Live Free!
Alcohol can be a controlling factor in our lives, and reducing or eliminating it completely can lead to freedom. For some it may be the extra time or money they find, and for others it can be a complete transformation. Whatever your situation, don’t fear the change, but embrace it. Many will say that their decision to make a change with their relationship with alcohol was the best thing they ever did!
Be Grateful
Too often we forget all of the blessings we have been given. Something that can help to remind us every day of the many good things we have is a gratitude journal. Just writing the words down helps reinforce our recognition of our gifts.
Think Positive!
Positive thinking is critical to long term success in limiting or abstaining from alcohol. After all, it was our negative thoughts and actions that contributed to our previous failures. There are so many resources out there that discuss the power of positivity that they cannot possibly all be listed here. Maybe someday I’ll make a whole page dedicated to this. For now, just remember that like attracts like, and you alone can manifest your own outcome. So why not make it a positive one?
Meditate
The benefits of meditation are well documented. The practice has been around for thousands of years. It can help bring calm, peace, and balance to your life. It helps reduce anxiety and teaches you how to cope with everyday stress. It can help with sleep, patience, creativity, self-awareness, and even physical well-being. Take a class or just practice on your own!
Get Involved
Take up a hoppy, join a club, play sports, work out, or even renew relationships that have been tarnished. Getting involved keeps you mind busy, improves your self-esteem, releases endorphins, and helps maintain proper balance in your life. Whatever it is you like to do, now that you have your problem under control, make the most of yourself however you see fit.
Help Out
One of the greatest feelings in life is helping someone else, and there are so many ways to do it. You can donate, volunteer, or be a friend in need. One great way to help out something probably pretty near and dear to your own heart is to help another person who struggles from drinking. You may have already realized it, but it is far more common than many people realize. That’s what this website is all about: Help. If you want to feel truly fulfilled, find a way to help out.
